Nick Southern
Managing Director
Nick is a former professional and semi-professional rugby player and played for England Schools U16 & U18.
When finishing professional rugby with Gloucester RFC and moving to Moseley RFC, Nick joined a security business in the North in 2005. He worked his way up to lead the control room, and Area Director in 6 months.
IN 2008 he started his own accredited security officer business named GR8 Security which has seen rapid growth in various sectors and recently become a member of the Pacesetters club which puts them in the top 15% accredited security business in the UK.
Nick spotted an opportunity with buying Davis Site Security as he had many contacts in the construction industry and When Nick is not playing rugby, he is busy entertaining his two young daughters…..and will later on in life probably become the best Close Protection operative for them!!
Lara Harris
Business Development
Lara began her business development career in Telecoms, she then migrated to the security industry. She is very passionate when it comes to finding the right security solution for her clients and believes relationship is everything (along with a competitive price). She enjoys engaging with existing and new customers daily. Her goal is to continue the growth Davis Site Security and spread the joy!
Ian Ward
Operations Manager / Senior Engineer
Ian started as a Telecommunications engineer and grew into security installation as a natural course.
He started as an engineer and progressed to the role as installations manager, head engineer and coordination manager for several large firms throughout the UK.
His interests are sport, socialising, food, and holidays.
Russ
Business Development
Russ is a former Security Officer who has progressed over 20+ years to Senior Operations Manager, in his spare he enjoys nothing more than repairing/ rebuilding motorbikes and vehicles along with making sure he spends as much family time with his two priorities in his life, his daughters.
Since Leaving school Russ has worked in the security industry and spent many years on the shop floor from Relief Officer to Site Manager to regional management of outsourcing and manned guarding coordination, Russ has managed and mobilised many well-known landmark sites in West Midlands and nationally. Russ has Managed the security/ CCTV required for some of the largest Construction developments in the Midlands. Russ supported Nick Southern, and Kennedy Mackenzie, in the acquisition of Davis Site Security mainly due to his vast knowledge of the construction industry and manned guarding deployment in this sector. Amongst many qualifications and Training Russ has CSSC, Banksman, Fire Marshall, Safeguarding and SMTS to continue supporting to the highest standard. Russ is currently studying for his Advanced Security Management Diploma along with his application for chartered member of the security institute.
Favourite Business Moment: Davis Strategy day 2020 when Russ was not only promoted to Senior Operations Manager (Manned Guarding) but also awarded by his peers as most improved/ developed manager, very proud to have the support and confidence from his work family!
